Shredded Cabbage Crunch Cole Slaw

Here’s a fun spin on a classic side dish.

This is the slaw for you if:

  • You’re on a mayo and diary free diet
  • You want an exciting raw dish to serve by itself or to compliment meat
  • You’re looking for some nutrient variety or a healthier alternative

Recipe

  • ½ cup White Cabbage
  • ½ cup Red Cabbage
  • ½ cup Carrots
  • ½ cup Beets
  • ½ cup Candied Pecans (Chopped)
  • ½ cup Ginger Sesame Seed Dressing

Directions

  • Shred all veggies (Cabbage, Carrots, Beets)
  • Mix with Pecans and Ginger Sesame Seed Dressing
  • Sprinkle Sesame Seeds on top (Optional)

Tips

  • Serve at room temperature
  • Serve as a snack or a side dish
  • Good source of protein and enzymes
  • Aids digestion and detoxification
  • Eat in Summer to Clear Heat
  • Eat in Winter to Tonify Blood
  • During Winter and cool weather, also serve with a warm dish

Storage

  • Refrigerate up to 5 days
  • Store nuts separately for long-lasting crunch

Pairings

  • A great Yin dish to balance out Yang meat dishes like beef and lamb
